Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC)

The purpose of the Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) is to provide advice to Council on all matters relating to agriculture in Delta.
Mandate
The Committee will, consistent with the general purpose described above, provide advice to Council on the following:
- Municipal plans, bylaws, policies and strategies that affect agricultural lands, activity or productivity;
- Agricultural drainage and irrigation issues;
- Other governmental or agency initiatives or policies that affect agricultural lands, activity or productivity;
- Development of the Delta Area Farm Plan is coordination with future revision of Delta's Official Community Plan;
- Other matters as referred by Council.

Meeting Schedule
The Committee shall meet on a monthly basis and/or at the call of the Chair.

Membership
The Committee shall consist of ten (10) members appointed or as otherwise directed by Council, who shall serve without compensation as follows:
- Two (2) members of Council (Chair & Vice-Chair);
- Eight (8) community members.
Non-voting members from the agricultural sector and the farming community may be appointed by the Chair to provide input on agricultural issues as required.
