Climate Smart Program Launched in Delta

The Corporation of Delta has teamed up with Climate Smart to deliver a training program for small to medium-sized businesses in Delta. The Program aims to assist businesses in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions while at the same time saving money and creating new marketing opportunities for local businesses.

The pilot program will be delivered by the local consulting firm Climate Smart. Climate Smart has already helped approximately 200 businesses within the province to identify carbon cutting strategies suitable to their needs and timelines. The three-step training program will take 15 businesses through a series of exercises to evaluate their services and operations.

The Corporation of Delta is pleased to offer this innovative program to businesses at a reduced rate of $500. Businesses may expect to receive tools, training and technical assistance from Climate Smart professionals for a year upon completion of the program. Branding and promotional opportunities will also be made available through the Climate Smart network. The first workshop is set for June 23, 2010.
