Fraser River Freshet Flooding Update

Delta's flood risk from rising freshet water levels along the Faser River is currently low, but is subject to change.

Delta's Emergency Operations Centre is set-up in order to ensure a quick response should conditions change.

Boaters are advised to stay off the Fraser River during the high water flows and swift currents caused by the freshet.

Our Engineering staff continue to conduct daily inspections of our dikes. Key emergency preparedness staff are working closely with the Provincial Regional Emergency Operations Centre and are participating in daily conference call updates which are continuing throughout the weekend.
