Congratulations to all the winners of the Mayor's 2nd Annual Garden Contest for Kids, who were recognized at the October 25, 2010 Regular Council meeting. Mayor Jackson was very pleased with the response to this year's contest which included some repeat contestants and lots of new children participating.

It is wonderful to see children active and learning about sustainable practices. The idea behind the contest was to encourage children to be active outdoors and foster a respect for the earth and nature while learning how to garden.
