Storm Surge Update

Due to the high winds and high tide experienced today, the Corporation of Delta's Emergency Operations Centre has been opened. Mayor Lois E. Jackson, Chief Administrative Officer George V. Harvie and our Engineering Operations crews have been inspecting various locations susceptible to flooding throughout Delta.

Further high tides and winds are anticipated over the next 48 hours. These seasonal weather conditions are typical of this time of year and will likely occur repeatedly over the next several weeks. Operations staff will continue to actively monitor weather conditions and patrol areas over the next several days.
