2010 United Way Campaign

The Corporation of Delta's 2010 United Way campaign was Delta's most successful to date! Raising a grand total of $52,882.76, Delta staff's unwavering dedication and participation in this year's campaign was outstanding.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Delta has exceeded its fundraising goal. "The dedication of our employees to this worthwhile organization is exceptional," said Mayor Lois E. Jackson. "Delta's successful campaign is another example of staff's steadfast commitment to the community."

United Way has recognized the Corporation of Delta's contribution by nominating Delta for the Employee Campaign Loyalty Award - an award that, as of yet, no other municipality has received a nomination for this year. The award celebration will take place on March 9, 2011.

Mayor Lois E. Jackson, Delta Council and George V. Harvie, Chief Administrative Officer, would like to thank Delta's United Way Co-Chairs Kate Steel and Michele Harris, along with the United Way Committee and staff, whose efforts and enthusiasm made this year's campaign the best yet.
