Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

Sep 15, 2012 - Sep 23, 2012

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is an annual nationwide initiative that is celebrating its 19th year of raising shoreline litter awareness by encouraging individuals and groups to collect litter along their local shorelines. Each year the Vancouver Aquarium organizes the cleanup. This year's event is September 15-23.

Shoreline and stream bank litter is harmful to the environment and can negatively affect local wildlife. It is important that we do our part to help keep our shorelines and stream banks beautiful.

Help clean up our local shorelines and stream banks. Individual cleanups are organized by local community members who volunteer their time as cleanup coordinators. To sign up for a local cleanup visit www.shorelinecleanup.ca.

To support the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup the Corporation of Delta will collect and dispose the garbage our local volunteers pick up along Delta's shoreline.
