Heritage Awards

Overview

The Delta Heritage Advisory Commission selects recipients for Delta's Heritage Award of Merit and Friends of Heritage Award annually. The Commission accepts nominations for the prestigious Heritage Awards throughout the year for awards to be presented in the following year. Nomination criteria can be viewed below.

Delta Heritage Awards of Merit are presented to projects, individuals or groups in recognition of their contribution in conserving a valuable part of Delta's history. Awards may be granted to urban or rural projects in the area of preservation, restoration, rehabilitation or adaptive re-use and may be considered for their exterior or interior characteristics.

Friends of Heritage Awards are presented to a project, individual or group who promotes heritage conservation through their efforts in the area of education, publication or advocacy that contributes to increased awareness of heritage in Delta.

Nomination Criteria

Nominations for the 2012 Heritage Awards are now closed. The awards will be announced in February 2012.
