Visibility Concerns

The Corporation of Delta investigates visibility concerns at intersections and elsewhere along roadways on a case-by-case basis. Report visibility concerns to the Engineering Department at (604) 946-3260 or engineering@corp.delta.bc.ca. If minimum sight distances do not exist, we notify the property owner(s) to correct/remove obstructions to comply with our bylaw requirements.

Visibility Issues as a Result of Fences

Fences can be a maximum of 4' (1.2 m) high along the side yard between the road and the dwelling and along the frontage of the property. The remaining fence along the side of the house and rear yard can be a maximum of 6' (1.8m)high. If the fence exceeds these limits and cause a sight line problem, contact the Bylaw enforcement section of Legal Services at (604) 946-3340.
