Noise Control Bylaw

Bylaw Number: 1906
Regulates noise or sound that disturbs the peace.
The bylaw is specific to regulate noise or sound so that no person shall carry on or cause to be carried any construction work, reconstruction, alteration, repair or demolition of a building or structure, the operation of machinery, or works in connection with any excavation or highway before 7:00 am or after 7:00 pm and day of the week from Monday to Friday, inclusive, before 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm on Saturdays, or at any time Sundays.
The bylaw has sections that deals with excessive noise emanating from a property for such nuisances as late night parties, barking dogs and regulates noisemakers for crop protection.
