Watershed Park
11600 Kittson Parkway, North Delta
Classification: Community Park (153 ha.)
Dominated by a second growth coniferous forest, Watershed Park is Delta's largest and most precious park. The park is situated on a large artesian water supply. Eleven kilometers of gravel trails wind their way through the park for cycling, walking, jogging, horseback riding and nature appreciation. There is a Scouting Pavilion that can be booked through the SurDel Scouting Club for day-use and overnight camping. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic in "The Meadow" which is in the heart of Watershed Park. The meadow has a prominent look-out area to enjoy the breathtaking views of Mud Bay. Venture down to the Artesian Trail by the old pumphouse and observe salmon in Watershed Creek. Interpretive signage guides our visitors through the life stages of a salmon and describes the critical importance of their habitat for their sustainability.
