Community Gardens

Delta encourages its residents to eat locally and to grow their own food and vegetables when possible. Several local not for profit organizations operate community garden plot programs and make these available to residents.

North Delta

There is a community garden at McKitrick Park at 7815 112th Street, located near the Sungod Recreation Centre in the area just north of the main parking lot. Contact the Sungod Community Garden Society for more information.

Ladner

A community garden is located at Kensington Park North at 6467 Holly Park Drive. Contact the Ladner Community Garden Society for more information.

Tsawwassen

The Earthwise Society maintains a demonstration garden, offers classes, ecotours and allotment plots at their Boundary Bay site. The Society's website is www.earthwisesociety.bc.ca. Call (604) 946-9828 for more information about allotment plots.
